Description

A phosphodiesterase-5 inhibitor for use in the treatment of erectile dysfunction, benign prostatic hyperplasia, pulmonary arterial hypertension and Raynaud’s disease.
Erectile dysfunction: Required dose: 10 mg at least 30 minutes before sexual activity as a single dose and no more than once daily. The dose may be adjusted based on tolerability (Dosing range: 5 to 20 mg). Erectile function can be improved for up to 36 hours after a single dose. Whereas in the case of once daily dosing: 2.5 mg once daily at approximately the same time per day regardless of the timing of sexual activity. The dose can be adjusted based on tolerability (dose range: 2.5 to 5 mg/day).Benign prostatic hyperplasia: Oral: 5 mg once daily; Pulmonary arterial hypertension: Oral: 40 mg once daily; Raynaud’s disease: Oral: 20 mg every other day.
