Gastrobiotic 550 mg Tablets is an antibiotic medication containing the active ingredient Rifaximin. It is primarily used to treat gastrointestinal infections and conditions such as:

• Traveler’s Diarrhea: Caused by non-invasive strains of Escherichia coli.

• Irritable Bowel Syndrome with Diarrhea (IBS-D): Helps alleviate symptoms by targeting gut bacteria.

• Hepatic Encephalopathy: Used as an adjunct therapy to reduce the risk of overt hepatic encephalopathy recurrence in adults.

Dosage and Administration

• Traveler’s Diarrhea: 200 mg taken three times daily for 3 days.

• Hepatic Encephalopathy: 550 mg taken twice daily.

• IBS-D: 550 mg taken three times daily for 14 days.
