Prolia 60 mg 1 Syringe

Prolia 60 mg 1 Syringe is a medication used to treat osteoporosis (thinning and weakening of bones) in postmenopausal women, especially those with an increased risk of fractures, or those who cannot use other osteoporosis medications, or for whom previous medications were not effective. Prolia is also used to increase bone mass in men with osteoporosis who are at risk of fractures.

How to Take Prolia

• Dosage: Prolia is administered as one subcutaneous (SC) injection every 6 months. It can be injected into the upper arm, upper thigh, or abdomen.
• Syringe Preparation: It is preferable to leave the pre-filled syringe out of the refrigerator to reach room temperature (up to 25°C) before injection to make the process more comfortable.
• Storage: Medications, including Prolia, should be kept out of the reach of children.

Usual Dosage Prolia 60 mg 1 Syringe:

• Dose: 60 mg once every 6 months.
• Supplements: Calcium and Vitamin D supplements are recommended.

Overdose

• In case of an overdose, you should contact a healthcare professional or go to the emergency department, even if no symptoms appear.

Precautions Before Injection

• The green safety guard should be manually extended to cover the needle after injection. Do not move the guard before administering the injection.
• The syringe has a grey needle cap that contains dry natural rubber (a latex derivative), so it should be avoided if you have a latex allergy.

• Do not share Prolia with others, even if they have a similar condition.
